For the October hop, the theme was "All Things Fall." I decided that nothing says "FALL" better in Kansas than a sunflower. Every September they start growing wild along the roads.
This card uses the stamp set "Fall Harvest" on a brown base and the leaf from the PWP Swirly Seasons in Versamark Champagne Dazzle as a background. It's hard to see it, but the flash even caught one particular sparkle just to the right of the image! I also used my handy dandy Scor-Pal and Scor Bug.
After stamping in Burnt Umber Palette, the sunflower was colored with watercolor pencils and a Dove Blender, then cut out with mini Kai scissors (love those things!) and popped up with a pop dot on the main panel. I went along the edged of the cut out flower with a brown marker (discontinued) to get rid of the white edge that I didn't like.
This next card was one I CASEd from Laurie W's card and turned it into a fall one. I used the "thumping" technique with Tombow markers after inking with Landscape Palette. The stamp set for the main image is called "Happy Thoughts," and the other one is "Sending a Latte." The joy of unmounted stamps is that I could cut out the "a latte" and use it for non-coffee cards! :-)
The scalloped paper is from the scalloped stack, inks are Burnt Umber and Cognac (sponged with Hydra Sponge), and base cardstock is Aspen. The orange-y cardstock is from the Cha Cha cardstock collection.

I like how you popped the sunflower up on that card. I bet it's really cooling looking in real life with all the sparkle on there too. I love that ink!
Love both cards and would not have thought to use the Happy Thoughts for fall but it is perfect.
These are great!!! Lining the flower before layering is a great idea!
