Believe

More craft show items. I REALLY wish I would have taken a "before" picture. Oh well...

Choice of hanging or sitting on a shelf. It's hard to see but I used a retired TAC stamp with John 3:16 and stamped in Charcoal Palette (after stamping off). I used a retured alphabet and stamped in Noir. The Decorative Corners are also Noir, but stamped off once or twice--can't remember! The paper is from TAC's More Mimi Collection. Love it! :-)

Hope

I found this piece at a garage sale this summer. It was a Hallmark item with a 1985 copyright on it. Add paper, ink and stamp--voila! Something new! Don't know if you can read it or not, but the ribbon charm says "Always."

Supplies: Juliette and More Mimi papers, Burnt Umber Palette ink, ribbon, ribbon charm, retired alphabet.

Craft Show Stuff

Here are a few things I've made for the craft show season. I did the middle one first, but wasn't totally happy with the way the tags turned out. So...I revamped!

Supplies: Chipboard Stacks, Amelia paper, Reece paper, Corner Chomper, Bind-it-All, Palette inks in Jardin Moss, Burnt Umber, Java Versamagic ink, Peace On Earth, Simple Bet. (number stamps are retired)

Contest Entry

I submitted this card for TAC's August Contest that Angels can enter. The category was "Back to School." Unfortunately I didn't win, but I still like the card! :-)

Bazzill Reds pack gave me the colors I needed, and the Cardstock Strips were perfect for the black wavy parts of the crayon. Also used an Oval Punch, Label Lingo stamps and Simple Bet stamps.

Miss Moxie and Dear Friend

This is a FUNshop card from earlier this summer. This make-n-take gave guests experience with Watercolor Pencils and a Dove Blender. It also allowed them to see how awesome our Clever Lever Oval and Scalloped Oval Punches are. They got to play with TAC's patterned paper and matching ribbon--Miss Moxie for this card. We also ued Moulin Rouge Palette Ink, and the stamp is from Dear Friend in Serendipity.

Watercolor Plants

At my One SpecTACular Night on Aug. 28, we made 3 cards and used Watercolor Plants on all three. Only one card actually used the entire set (see this card), and the others just used parts of the set. Each card looked soooo different that no one had even noticed it was the same set. When I pointed it out, all 19 women there looked surprised. My plan to show the set's versatility worked.

The card below was a reject that I decided NOT to do that evening. I'm not totally thrilled with the card, but I like the idea for the main image so I think I just need to try again. The stamp set is Watercolor Plants. I used glossy paper and a Hydra Sponge to apply Palette inks in Orangerie, L'Amore Red, Moulin Rouge and Noir. The flowers are stamped in Noir on top of that, and I used Noir (stamped off once or twice) for the borders.

Busy, busy...

I'm posting some older cards because I've been sooo busy! Substitute teaching has picked up now that school is in full swing, AND I had a picnic to plan. Every 2 years we invite extended birthfamilies of both my daugthers. As an adoptive family in two open adoptions, my girls have lots of relatives who love them! We had the picnic yesterday and had a blast. Oh, in addition to that, I made 28 pints of salsa since I posted last!

On to stamping...the card below happened because I was going thru drawers looking for things to sell at a craft garage sale. I ran across the little wooden heart that I've had for years and thought, "Hey! That's the color of our Reece paper!" After checking, I quit going thru drawers and made a quick card. I'm easily distracted... ;-) Patterned paper and cardstock is Reece, and the stamps are Label Lingo.

Sorry for the bad photo of this next card. I had gone to a friend's to work on something specific and took along a few extra things "just in case." Guess what I did?!?!?! I forgot most of what I needed to do the things I HAD to finish. So...I just played with the stuff I actually did bring and challenged myself to come up with something decent. That meant no embellies either! Ouch!!! I had to borrow my friend's Scor-Pal, Scor-Bug and Scalloped Punch. The stamp is from Cute Curliques. I also used Versamark Dazzle Frost (hard to see), Iris Palette ink and my beloved Stardust Clear Gelly Pen (also hard to see). Not my favorite card, but not too bad for limited supplies. :-)
