March Stamping Class

After a nice vacation last week, I returned home (a day late due to snow!) and got everything ready for my March stamping class. Since More Mimi paper is BOGO this month, we focused on showing the great versatility of this paper.

The first card has an oval that is only cut half way (the right side). The left side is folded back to expose the beautiful paper on the other side. It's hard to tell, but the flap is popped up with Pop Dots. The horse is from Hieroglyph Horses and is stamped with Jumbo Java VersaMagic ink then outlined with a Stardust Clear Gelly Pen. All patterned paper and cardstock is from the More Mimi collection.

This next card has an acetate overlay. We stamped off, then stamped on the More Mimi patterned paper using Burnt Umber Palette ink and stamps from Vintage Backgrounds. Branches in Bloom is stamped on the piece of acetate using Cotton White StazOn ink. The acetate overlay is held in place using two pieces of ribbon. Very simple, yet pretty!
The verse inside is from Little Bird, and I thought it was appropriate because of the music staff background stamp. ;-)

Stay tuned for the next post with more cards that we did in class!

Your acetate card is very pretty. I like how you stamped the background too!

Diane I LOVE both of these cards! The oval is the perfect way to feature the double sided mimi! The second car is just gorgeously simple!
