Chipboard Stacks!

I'm LOVIN' these things! They are my absolute new faves!!! I used them for several project for my craft show and thought I'd let you see the fun I've been having. We also used them in my monthly stamping class last week. You can see them here. The come in Bright and Neutral colors.

Just a little note: I've been using Mischelle Smith's tip from her blog. She uses Walnut Ink with a dauber top to ink the edges of coaster. I now do the same thing with the edges of my beloved chipboard stacks. Since I have all 8 colors, it's not too difficult to find one to blend with the paper color!

This first set of photos is a little album made from envelopes. I cut off one end so I could have pull-out pages.

The two photos below are stand-up hinged frames. For the lion on the "boy" frame, I cut out and "extra" head and placed it on top of the main image with pop dots. This created depth/interest, and allow allowed a photo to slip under the lion's head, yet still have it looking like it's overlapping.

These are desk calendars. They stand up on their own...

The photos below are calendar magnets. The top two magnets were inspired by Sarah G.

This photo doesn't show the inside, but they open to reveal Post-It notes!

It's hard to tell in these photos below, but they are mini notebooks. They only measure just over 2" across!

If you have any questions about chipboard stacks or any of these projects, just let me know!

Thanksgiving or Christmas?

Okay, I've got a question for anyone willing to respond....

I had my first craft show of the season today, and I had my three advent calendars there. SEVERAL people commented on the first one in this post below as being "for Thanksgiving." Someone even asked if I had another set of "fronts" for Christmas since this one is Thanksgiving...

Hmmm...I can see the Thanksgiving theme, but I also think it's Christmas. The paper is Amelia and has lots of deep greens and reds (burgundy).

Would you mind letting me know what you think?!?!? Thanks! :-)

Jacob's Ladder

I made some "Jacob's Ladders" to sell at the craft show. I used a different TAC paper collection for each one, but here's one using Juliette--BEAUTIFUL paper!!! I covered a box for this one too. ;-) If you don't know what these are, they are for photos and they flip back and forth. They make great little "brag books" and are lots of fun to play with. :-)

Muffin Tin Advent Calendars

I just looked at my pix and realized I could quickly post at least the ones of the advent calendars made from mini muffin tins. The squares are placed on flat magnets that I bought last year at the Recycling Center of the KC Children's Museum. Behind each number (in the little muffin spot), I placed a candy. Customers can replace the candies with their own or with little slips of paper with quotes or activities for each day.
The first one is based on one I saw on Julie's (Paper Jewels) blog. It uses the Amelia Collection from TAC. I added other things beyond just the collection as well...
The white one does not use TAC patterned paper, but everything else is TAC. Even though it's less visually interesting overall, I just LOVE all the little embellies, including fun buttons from the Embellishment Jars! I figured maybe someone who likes things more "orderly" will purchase this one! ;-)
This last one was sort of "anything goes." I used a variety of TAC stamps and retired TAC patterned papers, as well as various techniques and embellishments. It was fun, but it took a looooooonnnnngggg time to make!
Let me know what you think... :-)

craft show is taking my time...

I haven't forgotten you out there in cyberspace! :-) Right now I'm putting TONS of time into getting ready for a craft show Oct. 11. I'm making enough so I don't have to do more before my Nov. show. I just now took a bunch of pix of the "goodies," so I'll post some soon!
