Interactive Cards #3

Nothing quite says interactive like a spinner card! I kept this one fun and simple so the gals in class could concentrate on the spinner technique itself. Once you know how to do that, the spinning possibilities are endless!

Supplies include: Squiggle Ladybugs stamp set, Noir Palette and Brilliance Moonlight White inks, Tombow Markers, white Souffle pen, 1 1/5" circle punch and 2" scallop punch, pop dots, and paper cutter (to cut the window).

Interactive Cards #2

Here's another one of the cards we made at my stamp class last night.

Several years ago my stamping friend Eva showed me how to make this kind of card. It's a little more complicated but fun! I don't really know the name so I call it a "slider/easel" card. If anyone else knows the name, I'd be happy to learn !

The little girl is from The Angel Company's new Wonder and Joy set. The patterned paper, cardstock and hardware is from the Mia's Cottage SWIC collection. I colored the image using Prismacolor pencils and oderless mineral spirits using blending stumps. Both sentiments are from Little Cupcake, and all stamping is done in Palettel Noir ink. The white cardstock is, of course, TAC's ultrasmooth.

Interactive Cards #1

This is the card that started it all. I've had a sample of a Waterfall Card in my basket for a few years, but the stamp set was a retired Easter bunny set. (I kept it there because I don't make waterfall cards just everyday to replace it!) Ladies kept oohing and aahing over the card and asking if we could do it in class. Only one remembered making it several years ago.

So...to keep my ladies happy, I planned an entire card class for interactive cards. I'll be showing you each one over the next several days.

Supplies: Bazzill cardstock from Monos packs, white ultrasmooth cardstock, stamps from Awesome Blossoms and Savvy Sayings, pastels mini brads, Versamagic and Brilliance Moonlight White inks, Crop-a-dile

Last Contest Entry

This is the last of the contests I entered and didn't win. The category is "Terrific Trio" and requires us to us only two stamp sets to make 3 different cards. I chose to use Cheery Thoughts and Sincere Sentiments (Purchase With Purchase set).

It's kinda hard to tell, but there are Stickles in the middle of the flower and Stardust Glitter pen on her hair bows.

To see the winning entries in all categories, visit HERE. They are fantastic!

Another Non-Winning Entry

In my previous entry, I showed you a TAC contest entry that didn't win. Here's another one. This one was for the "Card to Crop" category, where you make a card and adapt the layout for a scrapbook page.

I had used the card in my January class an posted it (with details) HERE. For the contest, I used some of my favorite portraits of my daughter when she was 4. (I called TAC first to make sure that a professional portrait wouldn't disqualify me as it would if I were sending it in for catalogue publication!) It's probably just as well that I didn't win, because I realized that having it on the TAC website would go against my husband's thing about having pix of our kids on the internet...

It's really hard to tell, but I used the Stardust Gelly pen to add sparkles to the stamped branch image, just like I did on the card.

Non-winning TAC Contest Entry

Each month The Angel Company sponsors a contest for Angels. TAC gives us a category theme and we interpret it with our entry.

When I saw "Oh Baby!" I knew I wanted to scrap a page of our pastor's new "baby"--their 17 yr. old son who just arrived from Haiti. I like how the page turned out even though I didn't win.

Supplies: kraft cardstock, ivory ultrasmooth cardstock, DCWV Brights, brown cardstock, brown Bazzill strip, Burnt Umber Palette ink, TAC chipboard letters. white Souffle pen, Running Stitches,

Interactive Card Class Sneak Peeks

Can you guess which is which?

This Thursday I'm teaching an Interactive Cards class. We'll be making a waterfall card, spinner card, easel/slider card and a swing away card.

Enjoy the sneak peeks, and I'll post the full pix after class!
